Artifact #1: Pictionary Project

While learning about the Water Cycle, I have my students discover definitions of important terms, and create a fun "Pictionary" project. This assignment comes in the middle of the chapter and is graded as a Formative Assessment, fulfilling NEPF Standard 5.

Artifact #2: Literature Review

I found an article that talks about how important assessments are (both formative and summative) in planning lessons. It's particularly talking about science lessons in elementary school, but the message is clear for other grade as well. To read the article, click here.

Artifact #3: Human Impact Project

Students investigate the impacts and explore solutions related to the effect that climate change has on human populations and wildlife ecosystems. This assignment comes at the end of the chapter and is graded as a Summative Assessment, fulfilling NEPF Standard 5.

Artifact #4:  Ten Takeaways

Ten takeaways that will be helpful as I continue teaching.
